x86 industrial BoxPC in the embedded NUC™ Standard with extended temperature range
The BoxPC-NUCV-V1404I is a high-quality BoxPC system for industrial applications, developed and manufactured in Germany.
The industrial BoxPC-NUCV-V1404I is designed in the embedded NUC™ standard and is based on the latest AMD Ryzen™ Embedded V1000 platform which features excellent performance per watt as well as a superior integrated graphics unit (Vega 8).
Industrial suitability:
The BoxPC-NUC V1404I is perfectly suited as a robust and powerful industrial PC for complex applications in machine and plant construction, for example for running automation software.
An AMD-CPU with a configurable TDP of 12W - 25W is used:
AMD V1404I (embedded CPU with extended temperature range / -40°C to +85°C) - 4 cores / 8 threads - 2.0 GHz to 3.6 GHz - TDP: 12W to 25W.
AMD Radeon™ Vega 8 Graphics
Ambient temperature range:
-40°C to +60°C (barebone).
ATTENTION: This range is only met if RAM and SSD also meet this specification.
Due to lack of market availability, the SSD and RAM modules currently offered here in the shop are not models with an extended temperature range.
Therefore, they limit the permitted ambient temperature for the configured overall system to 0-60°C.
The BoxPC has been designed for industrial applications in extended temperature range environments and tuned to deliver high computing performance even under these conditions.
The DC wide-range input with 8V to 32V allows simple, space-saving and cost-effective integration, as in many application scenarios no separate PC power supply unit is required and an existing power supply can be used.
Areas of application:
Due to the strong computing power in relation to the size, the PCs are particularly suitable for use in Industry 4.0 applications, for example as an IoT gateway or control computer.
Three different mounting points ensure flexible installation on top-hat rails (DIN rail), where the interfaces can be fed upwards and downwards as well as to the front.
Table mounting is also possible, as is mounting using a VESA bracket.
The high multicore performance and an extremely powerful iGPU (integrated GPU) enable the system to be used for a variety of purposes:
- AI (artificial intelligence), ML (machine learning), DL (deep learning), CV (computer vision)
- Robotics as well as mobile systems and battery-powered systems (automotive grade power supply)
- Automation, measurement technology, control technology, POS, digital signage and IoT.
Interfaces:
With a large number of powerful interfaces in a very small space (approx. 117 x 47 x 120 mm), the system is suitable for many applications.
These include:
- 2x Gigabit Ethernet ports Intel® I210 with IEEE1588
- 2x Mini-DP++ Connector (mDP) up to 4096x2160 @ 60Hz
- 3x USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gb/s, fuse to 900mA each)
- 3x M.2 - Type B, Type E, Type M
- 1x microSD socket
- 1x RS-232 port + 1x RS-232/485 port (FDX only)
The NUCV features a wide input voltage range from 8 VDC to 32 VDC as well as a special pre-equipment for vehicle use (automotive grade power supply) including an input for continuous positive (terminal 30) and ignition positive (terminal 15). In addition, a special overvoltage protection circuit for vehicle use is implemented, which particularly takes load-dump scenarios into account.
This allows integration into mobile systems such as vehicles (BOS), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and battery-powered systems.
Security:
Customising:
A custom front panel design is optionally available upon request for OEM solutions.
Modularity:
Expand your system with various interface options:
Among other things, the rear USB port is designed to accommodate the EM-I/O interface modules. This allows the BoxPC-NUCV to be expanded quickly with additional interfaces such as CAN, GPIO, relays, LTE/UMTS, etc.. More information can be found here: EM-I/O Modules
